These chess pieces are fashioned after an original 12th-century medieval set discovered on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. It is thought that the original pieces may be some of the few surviving chess sets from the era. Though the original pieces are now on display at the British Museum in London and the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, you can play this same game for yourself! This premium reproduction set comes complete with all 16 pieces and a board. Board measures 14 x 14 inches. Pieces range 2.5 to 3.75 inches in height. Made of cast stone.
