These beautiful ornate disk earrings feature small inlays of green peridot. Peridot has long been associated with light and was a particular favorite in ancient Egypt. They sourced it from the Red Sea island of Topazios (now St. John's island). Legend has it the island was infested with snakes that had to be driven out in order for workers to mine.
These beautiful earrings were made in the tradition of Indonesian silver smithing. They measure 1.125 inches in diameter.
