Made in Ecuador by fair trade artists, this necklace features beads made of tagua nut. Tagua nuts come from ivory palms, which grow in Latin and South America. Tagua nuts are seeds that eventually become smooth and hard like ivory, making them a cruelty-free alternative to animal bone. This necklace's chunky tagua beads are available in three different colors; green, mauve, or pink. Beads are each about 1.5 inches long. Necklace is 22 inches long and fastens with a button closure made of coconut. This necklace is made with natural materials, and thus color will vary from piece to piece.
