Atelia Ndomo is a landmark in Mali. Situated in the former colonial capital, Segou, the beautiful Atelier Ndomo was constructed in the traditional mud architecture style for which Mali is famous, and has gained international renown through the innovations and perseverance of its founder, Boubacar Doumbia.



Mudcloth (or Bogolan as it is known in Bamana, the language of Mali) reflects the passion and history of the Malian people. Its patterns are symbols of the ancient language and the textiles reect the vitality of the Malian people. Doumbia and the whole Ndomo team have tenaciously worked to create textiles that reect their culture and history while responding to their place in the contemporary milieu of textile design to international acclaim.
