Product Description
Fair-trade and eco-friendly, this table lamp has a frame that is constructed from wrought iron, making the lamp very strong and durable. The iron frame is wrapped with Nito Vine in a pattern that nito grows naturally around trees by weaving it through a tight metal grid. The shade is made of fibers around the seed of the Durian fruit. A 13-watt fluorescent bulb is recommended. If an incandescent bulb is used we suggest a maximum of 40-watts.

Cultural Description / Significance
Nito vine is a fast growing fern that grows around trees and other large objects. Left unchecked, nito can suffocate a tree by blocking light and other resources, killing the tree. Instead of throwing away or burning this material, it is used in a creative way for this lamp.
