Hand-thrown Terra-cotta base gives this lamp shade a solid feel and appearance. Once the Terra-cotta is dry it is decorated using natural fibers abaca. The base measures 26 X 7 X 6 inches. The shade is made of fossilized cocoa leaves and measures 18X12 inches. Since the leaves are natural, each one absorbs dye differently. The resulting effect is a lamp with different hues and shades (sometimes within the same leaf).
Hand-made, Fair Trade and Eco-friendly.

Lighting made from chocolate? Not quite, but the cocoa leaves used for these lamps are collected from the same plant chocolate is made from and are very common to the region.
